Cristela Alonzo is an American comedian and writer and producer. She is best known for the TV show Cristela which started airing in the year 2014. As a result, she became the first Latina ever to create writing, directing and starring in her own show on television. Her family was raised in Texas and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career. She's played guest roles on television shows like Sons of Anarchy and General Hospital. The show she wrote for is the TV series Mind of Mencia. The show also featured her as the host of and featured on "The View". Also, she has worked on a number of movies like The Angry Birds Movie.
