Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and passed away 19 January 2008 was an American film, television, theatre and voice actress. [1] Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and was first seen in films in the late 1950s. She later made appearances in movies of a prominent nature such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Then, she was in various television shows and was frequently an actor in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978, in which she earned many Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January of 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish and were the children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
