Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American performer and actor who made her name with smart raps that addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a a boldly comic perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was via the trumpet. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop training began as she was in her teens. While in college, she took classes in the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent a short time studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. Following graduation, she decided to focus on music. My Vag, her track My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a popular viral sensation across the Internet and eventually appeared on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The other viral hit songs included queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchecity tour. The latter track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. Following a career that was successful as a performer and songwriter, she took on the character of actress. In addition to early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered an array of noteworthy roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
